Using Tear Mender Glue for Puppy Ears
Tear Mender provides a reliable alternative to tape or bandages when shaping and training puppy ears. Whether you’re a breeder or dog owner, this adhesive is wash-proof, non-irritating, and easy to use for achieving the correct ear position.
Important: Ear positioning varies by breed. Always consult a professional or a breed-specific manual for guidance.
How to Prepare the Ear:

Avoid Removing Hair: Do not remove hair on the inside of the ear flap.

Clean the Ear Canal: Flush with hydrogen peroxide and let dry for 10 minutes.

Sanitise the Ear Surface: Use cotton dipped in alcohol to clean the outside and inside of the ear flap.
Application Instructions:
1 - Apply Tear Mender Glue
- Add a thin layer to the hair on the area of the head where the ear flap will attach.
- Apply a small amount to the upper portion (tip) inside the ear flap.
2 - Position the Ear Flap
- Bring the tip of the ear flap into contact with the head hair and hold in place for 30 seconds or until the adhesive sets
3 - Monitor and Adjust
- Observe the position for a few days. Adjust as needed for optimal placement
4 - Removal
- Use a bandage remover like Uni-Solve™ or Detachol™, or baby oil. Gently separate the adhesive using a fine flea comb. Tear Mender easily peels off and does not irritate your dog’s skin.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly.
