The K9 Pro Conditioning Muzzle is designed specifically to help introduce and condition dogs to wearing a muzzle.

A larger opening at the front of the muzzle allows treats to be delivered while the muzzle is being worn, making it an excellent tool for positive muzzle conditioning and helping your dog build a comfortable association with wearing a muzzle.

The muzzle is lightweight, flexible and designed to provide excellent ventilation while still preventing biting. The basket-style design allows the dog to open its mouth, pant, drink and bark while wearing the muzzle.

The rubber strap wraps securely around the dog's head and the nose area features a soft felt liner for added comfort.

Ideal for Muzzle Conditioning & Safe Management

The K9 Pro Conditioning Muzzle is suitable for:

  • Introducing a dog to wearing a muzzle
  • Muzzle conditioning and training
  • Reactive or aggressive dogs
  • Preventing biting
  • Preventing wound licking
  • Preventing dogs from eating unwanted or dangerous objects
  • Behavioural assessments
  • Safe handling and training
  • Dogs requiring ongoing muzzle management

Unlike occlusive muzzles that restrict a dog's ability to open its mouth, the basket-style design allows natural behaviours such as panting, drinking, barking and opening the mouth.

Muzzle Training Program Included

All K9 Pro Muzzles come with a muzzle training program written by Behaviourist Steve Courtney.

If you would like a copy of the muzzle training program, please email info@k9pro.com.au and our office team will send it to you.

Important Safety Information

Never leave a dog wearing a muzzle unsupervised for extended periods.

A muzzle should be introduced gradually through appropriate conditioning and training. Always monitor your dog while wearing the muzzle and regularly check that it remains correctly fitted and comfortable.

A muzzle is a management tool and should be used alongside appropriate training and behavioural management.

Size Guide & How to Measure for a Muzzle

Correct sizing is essential. The muzzle must allow sufficient room for the dog to open its mouth and pant comfortably while remaining secure enough to prevent biting.

Step 1 — Measure Snout Length

Measure from approximately 1–2 cm below the eyes to the tip of the nose, following the top of the dog's nose.

Step 2 — Measure Snout Circumference

Measure around the widest point of the dog's snout, approximately 1–2 cm below the eyes.

Take this measurement with the dog's mouth closed.

Step 3 — Allow for Pant Room

You must allow additional room for panting when selecting the correct muzzle size.

We recommend allowing approximately 4–6 cm of additional circumference in total, or approximately 2–3 cm on each side.

This additional space allows your dog to open its mouth sufficiently to pant, breathe and bark comfortably.

Do not select a muzzle based solely on the dog's closed-mouth circumference.
