Our Yurkiw Harnesses are one of our most popular harnesses used in dog sports such as IGP, Tracking and Scent detection.
These harnesses are also extensively used by corrections departments, RAAF and other Government Services Agencies.
We always seek to improve our products for our customers based on your feedback and this is just what we have done in consultation with Redline K9 and have redesigned the Yurkiw!
Based on our extremely popular harness style named after New Westminster B.C K9 officer Dave Yurkiw, this extremely versatile harness has received functional upgrades and is now offered with a genuine Metal Cobra buckle.
The breast plate is made from Latigo leather and backed with a special neoprene liner that does retain odour like felt used by other companies.
The breastplate attaches to the harness body with ultra-strong 1" Biothane Beta® 520. This product combined with the buckle strength gives the harness a break strengh at 181.437 kg. Making this harness ideal for all types of protection work and when you need to use opposition reflex methods in your training.
The belly strap is made from 1.75" nylon webbing and finished with heavy duty VELCRO® allowing for roughly 4 inches of adjustment.
We have upgraded the "cop lock" buckles to a GT Metal Cobra Buckle. The attached handle includes a metal snap allowing the handle to be fastened flat to the harness.
The additional D-rings on either side of the harness that can be used for pulling which this is why these harnesses are so useful as now with the upgrades you can have a strong load weight without worrying about the buckle failing.
All sizes have a large 7" Velcro attachment point behind the handle which will accommodate any of our MaxTac & Custom 1.5" x 6" K9 ID Badges. As well as our velcro patches. All badges sold separately.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping Policy
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
