With two receivers that are attached to one collar and set to the same frequency, you have the power to correct your stubborn dog more effectively while still maintaining his safety. Great for the serious dog sport trainer or those with stubbourn dogs!
Please NOTE: the remote in this model comes in BLACK, not yellow.

PLUS means that the unit comes with 2 receivers on the one collar. It is a single dog unit and both receivers are on the same frequency.
Why? Well it isn't it give a higher level of stimulation, in fact the levels are not any higher at all.
The reason that we use the PLUS is the receiver boxes can be fitted either side of the dogs throat rather than applying pressure to the throat, robbing the dog of air. Yes you can fit a single dog unit to one side of the neck but it will shape the way the dog works. For example if the receiver is fitted to the right side of the neck then the dogs head will move to the right in avoidance of the stim.
This can be an issue for dogs in bite work, heel work etc. The PLUS over comes this.
The dual receivers also mean that there is greater surface area to spread the stim over so it is actually easier on the dog.
Finally and MOST importantly, dogs such as German Shepherds, Malamutes ans similar coat types can sometimes be a struggle to obtain or maintain good connection with, so this can end up resulting in the collar having to be quite tight. The PLUS will enable the collar to be fitted quite a bit looser and lower than any other configuration. This means more air for the dog, less collar smart dogs and better connections.
If you use a remote collar on your German Shepherd and find the collar has to be tight to get through the coat, you will LOVE the PLUS. Even if you have short coated dogs the benefits are huge!

I purchased the ET300 Mini Educator PLUS for my two male Dobermanns.
I have been working with one of Steve Courtney's trainers in Brisbane and it was her recommendation to use eCollars to enhance the training results we have been achieving using other training tools. We also want to correct behaviours that are not being resolved using our current training tools and techniques.
After researching the eCollars currently available, and comparing the various features, I decided upon this particular model in a 2-dog configuration with two receivers per collar for each dog.
I was surprised at the difference between my dogs in terms of their sensitivity to the stimulus produced by the eCollars. One dog's working level is between 7-9 and the other is between 3-5 (depending on the level and type of distraction present during training). Even more surprising is that the more stubborn and wilful dog has the lower working level.
We didn't have instructions for pairing the 2-dog system so we set up one collar and used it on each dog in separate training sessions. We know from doing this that the level of sensitivity was not due to differences in the level of intensity being transmitted by two separate collars but was due to each dog's individual ability to feel the stimulus.
To date we have had one "conditioning" training session with our trainer in the correct use of the eCollar system and the results have been nothing short of amazing.
One of my Dobermann's has a VERY strong prey drive and his favourite pasttime is terrorising our chickens every opportunity he gets. We have tried everything to stop him and nothing has worked. As soon as we let him outside he races down to the chicken paddock with his hackles up, teeth bared and growling. Then he races up and down the fenceline continuing the behaviour. If we try to call him away he intensifies his efforts and runs faster. He's impossible to catch and ignores any attempts to lure him away.
We had him on a long line during his eCollar conditioning lesson and did his training where he could see, and be distracted by, the chickens.
We literally spent about 10 minutes conditioning him to the eCollar as part of a long at-home lesson. We used verbal commands to tell him what we want, verbal markers to indicate he has produced the desired result and a reward to set the correct behaviour. The only thing that overrides his prey drive is his food drive!!!
After one short lesson he hasn't been near the chickens or their paddock since. He has stopped slow motion stalking and barking at them. He no longer rushes at the fence with his hackles up and teeth bared. If I hadn't witnessed it with my own eyes I would have thought it impossible to modify the behaviour in one short session. Of course we will continue with the eCollar conditioning and progress through the training programme to ensure the results are permanent, but it's a very impressive start. It fills me with hope that a behaviour we thought we would have to put up with may soon be a dim memory.
At no point during the training did either of my dogs show any signs of discomfort or pain. Their body language and reactions to the stimulus produced by the eCollar is more akin to curiosity and an expression of "oh, what was that and where did it come from?"
We live on acreage and our closest neighbour has two very aggressive male Rottweilers. He bought them each anti-barking collars that spray citronella and eCollars that in his words "zap them whenever they do something wrong." He said he bought them off the internet for $35.00.
We see him every day continually "zapping" his dogs whenever they are moving around the property. He doesn't use verbal commands to guide the dogs or markers that indicate to the dogs when they have shown the desired behaviour or response to the stimulus. Don't even think about giving them a treat to underscore the good behaviour. He constantly brags that he never has to tell them, he just zaps them and they know and they just do it. He likes to demonstrate his methods to us. Subsequently whenever they are not wearing the collars they completely ignore him and he has absolutely no control over them. In these situations he throws balls at them as hard as he can to inflict pain (they always yelp) and forces them to comply. His methods are clearly not working and I've seen the younger dog shape up to him a few times. He then has to use a really forceful voice and body language to make the dog comply, which it usually does very grudgingly and in its own time.
To make matters worse, his property is not fenced so the dogs could easily take off if they decided to.
It's a recipe for disaster and I can see the news headline now...!!! And people wonder why their dogs turn on them, family members, friends or neighbours!
The collars I bought are of excellent quality and solid build. They are housed in a padded, purpose built hard case for neat and easy storage and safe transportation when not fitted to the dog.
The transmitter is ergonomic and easy to handle - very similar to holding a stopwatch and every bit as simple to use.
Yes, they are expensive (especially if you buy the extra receivers). Yes there are much cheaper models available on the internet. The question you have to ask yourself is whether you are prepared to pay extra for a quality product that is safe, will not harm or cause pain to your dog, and will deliver solid and permanent results.
An untrained dog is akin to having a loaded gun with the safety off.
I unreservedly recommend this product having witnessed first hand the results achievable when used correctly and under the supervision of a qualified dog behaviourist/trainer.
It is very important that you receive proper instruction/training in the correct use of this product before using it.
